This policy explains what I do with your personal information when you use this website. I have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal language. If anything is unclear, just ask me.
Who I am
Helena Aesthetics is a skin clinic at 283 Acklam Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 7BP. I am the data controller for the information collected through this website.

What I collect, and why
When you use the enquiry form I collect your name, phone number, email address, the treatment you are asking about and whatever you write in the message box. I use this only to reply to you and to arrange a consultation if you want one.
When you message me on WhatsApp or call me I will have your phone number, and any details you choose to share. WhatsApp is provided by Meta and has its own privacy policy.
When you simply browse the site my hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
Please do not send detailed medical information through the website form. If a treatment needs a medical history, we will go through that properly at your consultation.
My lawful basis
When you contact me about a treatment, I rely on legitimate interests: you have asked me a question and I need your details to answer it. Where a treatment requires health information, that is collected at the clinic under your explicit consent, not through this website.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, your consultation and treatment records are kept separately at the clinic for the period required for insurance and professional standards.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your information and I do not share it for marketing. It is handled by the services that run this site and my email:
- My website hosting provider, which stores form submissions in transit
- Microsoft Outlook, which delivers the enquiry emails to me
- Google Maps, which supplies the map embedded on this site
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to make WordPress work. I do not run advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The embedded Google Map and the Google reviews display may set their own cookies when they load.
Your rights
You have the right to ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, or to have it deleted. Just email or call me and I will sort it out.
